EMN8® & its Self-Service Kiosk
Application are Certified PCI and PA-DSS Compliant
San Diego, California – January 12, 2009 – CEO Perse Faily announced today that EMN8, the market leader in self-service order and payment kiosk solutions for quick service and fast casual restaurants, was recently certified as meeting the requirements of a Level 1 PCI Service Provider. In addition, EMN8’s proprietary payment application was qualified as Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) compliant. EMN8’s payment application is a major component of its commercial OrderM8 product line.
“We are pleased to announce this significant milestone. As a Level 1 Service Provider, EMN8 is now recognized as meeting the highest security standards associated with processing high volume, sensitive card payment data. This certification assures our customers that EMN8 meets all security management, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures that proactively protect cardholder account data,” said Faily.
VISA, MasterCard, AMEX and other leading card issuers joined together to establish the PCI Security Standards Council and define a set of requirements, the PCI Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), that are designed to protect cardholder information, reduce fraud and identify common security breaches that could be exploited. All merchants that process, store and transmit credit card transactions must comply in order to maintain its membership status with the card issuers. The Council also manages the PA-DSS program to assist software vendors, like EMN8, in creating secure payment applications that help ensure merchant compliance with the PCI Data Security Standards.
“EMN8’s strong commitment to uphold the rigorous cardholder data security standards underscores its leadership position in the restaurant self-service sector. The validation process moved forward very expeditiously,” said Ray Zadjmool, President of Tevora Business Solutions. Tevora is a Qualified Security Assessor in good standing with the PCI Security Standards Council and qualified to conduct both PCI assessments and PA-DSS validations. EMN8 leveraged Tevora’s expertise to thoroughly analyze and validate adherence to the PCI standards.
